IDEAS Exhibitions of Learning - Spring 2015

The IDEAS Academy Exhibitions of Learning Showcase Projects will be featured on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

At the beginning of the semester, students chose individual topics relevant to their academic interests, personal experiences, or professional aspirations. Students transformed their ideas into informed arguments through academic research. They translated those arguments into original creations via visual art, dance, drama, science, creative writing, music, and engineering. The spring Exhibitions of Learning are an opportunity for students to present their arguments and original creations to professional audiences.

On Tuesday, May 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., roundtable discussions will be held at Jake’s Cafe and gallery walks will be featured at EBCO. Presentations at the Arts Center will run from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

For additional information, please visit the Exhibitions of Learning website or follow the event on Facebook!

Copy MosaicBlog SGGallery Feeling bored? I mean, board? When you stroll through the halls at IDEAS Academy and The Mosaic School you will see boards and be able to touch them, too. During a March artists collaboration with Sebura and Gartelmann at the JMKAC[/middleschool/mosaic-blog/mosaic-students-to-collaborate-with-john-michael-kohler-arts-center-artists/], Mosaic students learned about visual aspects of original messages and designed their own signs using various sized panels. The signs speak in bold colors about safe, memorable, and peaceful places. Étude Studios Intern Erik Tetschlag has gathered these and fashioned them into wall decor and a sculpture to keep the students’ learning and messages visible to all.
