College Acceptance 100%! College Acceptance 100%!
This has been the IDEAS Academy chant since the school opened. Our objective? All seniors will graduate qualified for a post-secondary program of their choice. They will demonstrate this qualification by applying and being accepted. The step from high school to the future can be stressful, and we want to reduce that stress by offering plenty of hands-on assistance.
With this in mind, parents and seniors are invited to an informational meeting 6 p.m. Monday, September 15 in the school cafeteria to learn more about what’s ahead. Seniors, are you ready for college? What will it take to make you feel and be ready? We’ll offer an overview of our plans for the year, including our application timeline, information about scholarships, financial aid, testing, college tours, alternatives to college and our College Readiness Web site. Most importantly, we want to know what you need so your senior can successfully apply to, be accepted to, and complete that post-secondary education plan.
We want each student to be confident in choosing and pursuing a productive and enjoyable future life! Our Futures/College Readiness work in Advisory at both Mosaic and IDEAS serves to build this success, and we urge parents to join with us in this endeavor.
See you at the meeting!!

At our last PTO meeting, I gave an overview of some of the changes that will be coming for the 2014-15 school year. Some of these changes are coming from the district and therefore are ones we need to work with while others are initiated at the school level. In order to help parents understand these changes, I will be holding a meeting at Paradigm on Friday, May 23rd at 9:30 to review the changes and answer questions. Below is a synopsis of the changes.
We are looking for your input into the concepts below, specifically, around how they might impact your engagement in our community.
On Tuesday, April 15th, I had the opportunity to meet with over 40 parents and teachers from ESAA.
