MAP Testing

We will begin the next MAP testing period on Monday, January 12th.

The Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) is a standardized test that measures student achievement in the areas of math, language usage, and reading. This test is taken at three different times throughout the year, so that students can look at the personalized data reports and reflect on academic growth over time.

Our Language Arts and Math teachers will administer the tests in their classes and work with students to interpret the reports. Students will reflect on their reports with their teachers, advisors, and peers, in order to develop individual goals that are based on the test data as well as other feedback that students receive through class projects and our standards-based grading system.

In order for the reports to be accurate and meaningful, it is important for students to be prepared to take the tests when they come to school. Please help in making sure that your child gets enough sleep the night before and makes time for breakfast the morning of the test.

Remaining MAP dates for the 2014-2015 school year:

January 12-13 Language Arts
January 15-16 Math
April 20-21 Language Arts
April 23-24 Math
