For those who do not already know us, IDEAS Academy is a public charter school within the Sheboygan Area School District committed to preparing students for a world that increasingly values creativity and innovation. It is a school where all students are enrolled in academic classes, arts seminars, and a unique, student-driven course called IDEAS Project Block. IDEAS Project Block is a semester-long class that provides students the opportunity to design and manage an original project of their choice.

These projects range from a contemporary dance piece interpreting the social and psychological aspects of relationships in the lives of people with Alzheimer’s Disease to policy papers recommending changes to a school schedule respective of new research on child development. This semester we have one of our most diverse sets of projects, including an original experiment on dialectical bias, a bacteria farm, and a film comparing urban and rural life.

Families, friends, and local professionals are invited to experience students' projects by attending our Winter 2015-2016 Exhibitions of Learning on Tuesday, January 12th and Thursday, January 14th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm and 5:00pm to 8:00pm at three local venues: The John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Jake’s Cafe, and Paradigm’s Annex Theatre.

More information is available on Twitter @TheEtudeGroup and the IDEAS Exhibitions of Learning Website.
