Community Cinema

On Wednesday, January 18th IDEAS academy students attended Community Cinema at the John Michael Kohler Art Center. Community Cinema is shown the third Wednesday of every month. The movie told the story of civil rights activist Daisy Bates, an influential proponent in the desegregation of schools and the leader of the "Little Rock Nine." Afterwards a discussion was led by Robert Samuel Smith, professor of African American History, Civil Rights and Race and Law.&
