Two Fish Gallery Sponsors Brianna Lane & the Navigator's Club

twofish logo jpg copyWe are pleased to announce that Two Fish Gallery in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin is sponsoring the next Étude Sessions featuring Brianna Lane and the Navigator's Club. The sponsorship means quite a bit to our schools. Through Two Fish Gallery's sponsorship, we are able to cover the costs for the bands, which increases the money going to our students. Ultimately, it puts more students on college visits, more scholarships for our international service trips, more scholarships for summer programs, more residency programs, and more field experiences for our students.

We are excited to partner with Two Fish Gallery because of our shared interests. Two Fish Gallery is owned by Pat and Karen Robison. Karen is a founder of IDEAS Academy and has been a leader in the development of our educational program as well as bridging science and the arts. For many years Pat and Karen have been active in schools through day-long workshops and extended residencies. Their work has been focused on combining their artistic endeavors with the science of art, often using raku as a way to student chemical reactions. In one residency, they created a labyrinth at Sheboygan South High School. When you check out the gallery, you can see Karen's science and art combined in the gardens that make up the grounds; it is truly a sight to behold. Two Fish Gallery exhibits Fine Art, Fine Craft and Fair Trade artwork. They also offer classes in raku, stoneware, and terra cotta. We are grateful to be able to partner with an organization with a similar focus on creativity coupled with ethical practices. Pat also teaches classes at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center.
