Little Free Library opens its door at IDEAS

A few steps from the IDEAS Academy Garden on Virginia Avenue, right next to bench and bike rack, stands our very own Little Free Library. One might never guess that, as of November, it’s also on the world map!

Visit http://littlefreelibrary.org/ourmap/ and take a look!

This cabinet for books, boasting its giant white É for Étude, was designed, built, finished and installed by Interns of Étude Studios. You can step right up and select a book to read in the garden or at home. Perhaps you have a book you think someone else would enjoy. Go ahead. Place it on a shelf. Exchange one for another. There’s a copy of the IDEAS literary magazine, Énthologie, in there (maybe). (Or maybe someone’s reading it.) Perhaps other works created by our students will appear. And the classics. New authors. Old favorites. Students and parents can read while they wait for each other!

Books are a treasure. Share the gift of reading and thinking with all of us at The Étude Group. And hats off to Little Free Library.org for inspiring a network of literary adventures across the world.

Special thanks to Erik Tetschlag, Kenzie Kastman and Engineering Teacher Tim Pasche for growing us a place for sharing books!
